Discover the incredible diversity of Maine’s wildlife on a guided birding adventure through some of Wilson’s favorite hotspots in the Greater Portland area. Because every season brings new migrations, changing habitats, and unexpected visitors, no two tours are ever the same.

Throughout the tour, we’ll explore a variety of local habitats in search of Maine’s iconic and lesser-seen bird species. Depending on the season, we may encounter warblers, raptors, shorebirds, waterfowl, owls, songbirds, mammals, reptiles, and other wildlife along the way.

Wilson carefully chooses each location based on current wildlife activity, seasonal movements, weather, lighting conditions, and the species guests are most interested in seeing. This flexible approach allows each tour to feel unique and gives us the best opportunity for memorable encounters.

Every Wildlife with Wilson tour is designed with photographers, birders, and nature lovers in mind. Rather than rushing from one location to the next, we’ll often slow down and spend time with wildlife when we find interesting behavior, beautiful light, or exceptional photographic opportunities.

Wilson will also share bird identification tips, natural history, field techniques, and wildlife photography advice throughout the experience.

Guests are welcome to bring professional camera equipment, a phone, binoculars, or simply enjoy the experience with their own eyes. Complimentary binoculars are available for anyone who needs them, making it easy for every guest to experience Maine’s wildlife up close.
